The Board of Tax Roll Corrections of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2009, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on January 6, 2009, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

 

Chairman Steve Austin called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows: Joe R. Cary, Member; Carol Purdy, Member; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary.

 

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Purdy approving minutes from regular session held on December 4, 2008.  Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Purdy, aye; Austin, aye.

 

Carol Purdy presented the Board with a list of clerical errors on the following:  Certificate #7344, Tonya M. Treat, hex not allowed and Ms. Treat said this is her permanent residence, therefore, hex is being re-instated; #7345, Jerri L. Fields, hex not allowed and should have been, therefore, this is re-instating the hex; #7346, Residential Copper, closed business 2006, therefore, this is removing 2007 assessment; #7347, BRP Computer Graphics, out of business December 2007, therefore, this is removing the assessment; #7348, General Electric Credit 45A, removed from county for 2008, therefore, removing assessment; #7349, AA Auto Crafters LLC, double assessed, also under auto crafters (turned in by them), therefore, removing AA Auto Crafters from assessment; #7350, Kreger, P. L. & Michael Neeley, hex not allowed and should have been, re-instating hex on property.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Purdy to accept and approve all error and corrections certificates as presented.    Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Purdy, aye; Austin, aye. 

 

There being no other business, motion was made by Cary and seconded by Purdy to adjourn (9:16 a.m.).  Motion carried: Cary, aye; Purdy, aye; Austin, aye.
