The Board of Tax Roll Corrections of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2008, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on December 3, 2008, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Chairman Laile Wilson called the meeting to order. Those present were as follows: Joe R. Cary, Member; Judy Barnes, Member; Carol Purdy, Kay County Assessor Office; Patsy Leyva, Kay County Clerk/Secretary, Deputy.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Wilson approving minutes from regular session held on November 6, 2008. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Wilson, aye.

Judy Barnes presented the Board with a list of clerical errors on the following: Certificate #7336, AT&T Mobility, adjusting assessment to corrected certificate amount sent by OTC (11-12/08); #7337, Kristi Nemec, mobile home assessed 2007, but not in Kay County; therefore removing the assessment; #7338, Kristi Nemec, mobile home assessed 2006, but not in Kay County, therefore removing the assessment; #7339, Bernard C & Juanita Graves JR, came in 11/24/08 with 100% VA exempt status; therefore removing all value due to 100% disability; #7340, Bernard C & Juanita Graves JR, came in 11/24/08 with 100% VA exempt status; therefore removing all value due to 100% disability; #7341, David A Rogers, homestead exemption not allowed & should have been; reinstating the homestead; #7342, Phillip & Joy Whetstone, homestead exemption not allowed & should have been; making allowance for the homestead; #7343, State Beauty Supply, removing double assessment; also under McKee Beauty Supply.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Barnes to accept and approve all error and corrections certificates as presented. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Barnes, aye; Wilson, aye.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Barnes approving Tax Roll Corrections Board schedule of meetings for 2009. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Barnes, aye; Wilson, aye.

There being no other business, motion was made by Cary and seconded by Barnes to adjourn (9:16 a.m.). Motion carried: Cary, aye; Barnes, aye; Wilson, aye.
