The Board of Tax Roll Corrections of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2008, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on September 3, 2008, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

 

Chairman Laile Wilson called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows: Joe R. Cary, Member; Judy Barnes, Member; Carol Purdy, Kay County Assessor Office; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary.

 

Motion was made by Barnes and seconded by Cary approving minutes from regular session held on July 3, 2008.  Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Barnes, aye; Wilson, aye.

 

Judy Barnes presented the Board with a list of clerical errors on the following:  Certificate #7316, Bronson Roughface, Jr., changing ownership from Bronson Roughface to Ponca Tribal Housing Authority (non-taxable), therefore, this error and correction will change name of owner and remove all value; #7317, Farmers Insurance Agency % Jeremy Dye, out of business in 2006, therefore, this is removing the assessment for 2007.

Motion was made by Barnes and seconded by Cary to accept and approve all error and corrections certificates as presented.    Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Barnes, aye; Wilson, aye. 

 

There being no other business, motion was made by Cary and seconded by Barnes to adjourn (9:08 a.m.).  Motion carried: Cary, aye; Barnes, aye; Wilson, aye.
