The Board of Tax Roll Corrections of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on July 2, 2008, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

 

Chairman Laile Wilson called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows: Joe R. Cary, Member; Judy Barnes, Member; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary.

 

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Barnes approving minutes from regular session held on May 13, 2008.  Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Barnes, aye; Wilson, aye.

 

Judy Barnes presented the Board with a list of clerical errors on the following:  Certificate #7310, Charlote Thomas, double assessed also assessed to M. Lebeda; therefore, this is removing this assessment; #7311, Villa Floral & Balloons, out of business since May 2006; therefore, this is removing the assessment for 2007; #7312, Nadyne K. Smith, removing this assessment as it is restricted Indian property.  This account was created when an instrument was filed concerning oil and gas only; #7313/#7314, USA/Trustee/Ponca (Fourbear, Matilda), putting the lessed out acres back into this legal description (non-taxable land); #7315, Nadyne Smith, removing this assessment as it is restricted Indian property, this account was erroneously created when an instrument was filed concerning oil and gas only.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Barnes to accept and approve all error and corrections certificates as presented.    Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Barnes, aye; Wilson, aye. 

 

There being no other business, motion was made by Barnes and seconded by Cary to adjourn (9:14 a.m.).  Motion carried: Cary, aye; Barnes, aye; Wilson, aye.
