The Board of Tax Roll Corrections of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2008, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on March 5, 2008, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

 

Chairman Laile Wilson called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows: J. C. Estes, Member; Judy Barnes, Member; Carol Purdy, Kay County Assessor’s Office; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary.

 

Motion was made by Barnes and seconded by Estes approving minutes from regular session held on January 10, 2008.  Motion carried:  Barnes, aye; Estes, aye; Wilson, aye.

 

Judy Barnes presented the Board with a list of clerical errors on the following:  Certificate #7300, Cindy Clark, should have allowed homestead exemption for 2007; #7301/#7302, James H. Loveall, improvements had been placed on wrong Lots, changed values from Lots 5-6 to Lots 1-2; #7303, C & D Home Health Agency Inc., business closed 2-1-06, therefore, this is removing the assessment; #7304, Roger D. Sharp, homestead exemption was not allowed and should have been, therefore, this is adding hex benefit.

Motion was made by Estes and seconded by Barnes to accept and approve all error and corrections certificates as presented.    Motion carried: Barnes, aye; Estes, aye; Wilson, aye. 

 

There being no other business, motion was made by Estes and seconded by Barnes to adjourn (9:10 a.m.).  Motion carried: Barnes, aye; Estes, aye; Wilson, aye.
