The Board of Tax Roll Corrections of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2008, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on January 8, 2008, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Chairman Laile Wilson called the meeting to order. Those present were as follows: J. C. Estes, Member; Judy Barnes, Member; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary

Motion was made by Barnes and seconded by Estes approving minutes from regular session held on December 6, 2007. Motion carried: Barnes, aye. Estes, aye; Wilson, aye.

Judy Barnes presented the Board with a list of clerical errors on the following: Certificate #7285, Saber Drilling Co., out of business since March 15, 2006; #7286, Modern Woodman of America, removing assessment as it was out of business since December 2006; #7287/#7288, Jay’s Auto Supply/Express Lube, out of business since 2005; therefore, this is removing the 2006/2007 assessment; #7289, OU812, Inc., improvement in poor condition; this is lowering value of structure; #7290, Jerrold & Velma Dark, hex wasn’t allowed, however, Mr. Dark stated he lived Kay at 2800 W. Adobe Rd. and he wanted the hex re-instated on this property; #7291, Jupiter Sulphur, LLC % State Treasurer, Oklahoma Tax Commission did not allow some items, therefore, this is changing the assessment to match the amount allowed by OTC; #7292, ORIX, they reported as inactive; therefore, this is removing all value; #7293/#7294/#7295, Teena’s Hair Design, out of business, therefore, this is removing the assessment; #7296, Terry L. Sheets, hex was not allowed and it should have been, this is re-instating the hex; #7297, Danco Calibration, out of business since December 2006, therefore, this is removing the assessment; #7298, Allen G. Mullins, Mr. Mullins came in December 31, 2007 and declared his 100% vet exemption, therefore, the value for 2007 is being removed; #7299, WNC Programming, WNC moved to Colorado January 1, 2007, therefore, this is removing the assessment for 2007.

Motion was made by Barnes and seconded by Estes to accept and approve all error and corrections certificates as presented. Motion carried: Barnes, aye; Estes, aye; Wilson, aye.

There being no other business, motion was made by Barnes and seconded by Estes to adjourn (9:19 a.m.). Motion carried: Barnes, aye; Estes, aye; Wilson, aye.
