The Board of Tax Roll Corrections of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2007, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on December 4, 2007, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

 

Chairman Dee Schieber called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows: Judy Barnes, Member; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary.   J. C. Estes, Vice-Chairman was absent.

 

Motion was made by Barnes and seconded by Schieber approving minutes from regular session held on November 8, 2007.  Motion carried:  Schieber, aye; Barnes, aye.

 

Judy Barnes presented the Board with a list of clerical errors on the following:  Certificate #7276, 7277, Continental Carbon Co., after litigation with continental Carbon this amount agreed upon; therefore, this correction is made to reflect thus; #7278 Melody and David Cunterman, improvements poor and not valued; however, living there so hex reinstated and tax removed; #7279 Applied Marine Tech, double assessed; also, assessed to Science Applications Inter. Corp.; #7280 Edith Stewart, account showed her as deceased and all exemptions removed, since she is not deceased all exemptions were reinstated; #7281 Phillip and Joy Whetstone, property was requested to be combined and land was not correctly calculated, this is correcting the amount; #7282 Blackwell Nursing Home, no equipment for Blackwell Nursing-distributed to others (refer to rendition which showed they had disposed of it); #7283 Travis York, sold all improvements is 2002, therefore, should not have had this assessment for 2003-removing value; #7284 Allen Hazen, garage apartment burned and value was not removed; this is removing value for 2007.

Motion was made by Barnes and seconded by Schieber to accept and approve all error and corrections certificates as presented.    Motion carried: Schieber, aye; Barnes, aye.

 

There being no other business, motion was made by Schieber and seconded by Barnes to adjourn (9:18 a.m.).  Motion carried: Schieber, aye; Barnes, aye.
