The Board of Tax Roll Corrections of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2007, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on May 2, 2007, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

 

Vice-Chairman Harden called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows:  Floyd Harden, Vice-Chairman; Judy Barnes, Member; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary.  Dee Schieber, Chairman was absent.

 

Motion was made by Harden and seconded by Barnes approving minutes from regular session held on March 8, 2007.  Motion carried:  Barnes, aye; Harden, aye.

 

Judy Barnes presented the Board with a list of clerical errors on the following:  Certificate #7212, Hope Crisis Center, Inc., received by tax exempt entity; therefore, this is pro-rating tax for half year, #7213, Hair & Nail Etc. Inc., double assessed-also assessed under “A Fine Cut”, therefore, this is removing this assessment; #7214, Advanced Painting, out of business, deceased in 2004, therefore, this is removing the assessment.

Motion was made by Harden and seconded by Barnes to accept and approve all error and corrections certificates as presented.    Motion carried: Barnes, aye; Harden, aye.

 

There being no other business, motion was made by Harden and seconded by Barnes to adjourn (9:10 a.m.).  Motion carried: Barnes, aye; Harden, aye.
