Newkirk, Oklahoma

 

The Board of County Commissioners of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. o’clock a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2005, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on June 30, 2005, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

 

Chairman Wilson called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows: Laile Wilson, Chairman; Wayne Leven, Vice-Chairman; Dee Schieber, Member;  Pat Schieber, Kay County Treasurer; Glenda Emerson; Kay County Court Clerk; Everette Van Hoesen, Kay County Sheriff; Judy Barnes, Kay County Assessor; Carol Kellum, Kay County Election Board Secretary; Larry Klumpp, OSU Extension Office; Sharon Rowen, Ponca City News; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary (see sign in sheet). 

 

Motion was made by Leven and seconded by Schieber approving minutes of June 27, 2005.  Motion carried:  Wilson, aye; Leven, aye; Schieber, aye.

 

The Board of County Commissioners tabled the termite treatment for county storage property until July 11, 2005.

 

Motion was made by Schieber and seconded by Leven to approve Detention Services Agreement between Sequoyah Enterprises, Inc. and the Board of County Commissioners.

Motion carried:  Wilson, aye; Leven, aye; Schieber, aye.

 

Motion was made by Leven and seconded by Schieber to approve Community Sentencing Service Contract between the Department of Corrections and Restrictive Housing Jail Government Providers and the Kay County Board of County Commissioners.  Motion carried:  Wilson, aye; Leven, aye; Schieber, aye.

 

Motion was made by Leven and seconded by Schieber approving Conduct of Contractor and Contractor’s Employees or Agents “Rules Concerning the Individual Conduct of Employees” OP-110215.  Motion carried:  Wilson, aye; Leven, aye; Schieber, aye.

 

Motion was made by Schieber and seconded by Leven approving Memorandum of Agreement between the Kay County Health Department and the Ponca City Public School District.  Motion carried:  Wilson, aye; Leven, aye; Schieber, aye.

 

Motion was made by Leven and seconded by Schieber approving Contract between the Kay County Health Department and Anco Services, Inc. for janitorial services.  Motion carried:  Wilson, aye; Leven, aye; Schieber, aye.
