Newkirk, Oklahoma

 

The Board of County Commissioners of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on May 14, 2004 at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

 

Chairman Schieber called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows:  Dee Schieber, Chairman; Laile Wilson, Vice-Chairman; Wayne Leven, Member; Rog Allen, KACY FM; Shannon Muchmore, Ponca City News; Marvin Beier, Brawley Engineering; Glen Nickles, Evans & Associates; George Rochelle; Phil Ross, Assistant District Attorney; Craig Countryman, Sheriff; and Carrie Glaser, Deputy County Clerk. 

 

Motion was made by Wilson and seconded by Leven approving minutes from the May 10, 2004 meeting.  Motion carried:  Schieber, aye; Wilson, aye; Leven, aye.

 

Purchase and/or sale of property for storage – No action.

 

Bid #2004-21 – Lease Purchase, Loader/Backhoe – No action.

 

Motion was made by Leven and seconded by Wilson approving resolution depositing funds into the Highway Cash Fund as follows:

Motion was made by Leven and seconded by Wilson approving Resolution to underwrite the acquisition of right-of-way and Right-of-Way, Public Utility and Encroachment Agreement for CR-136C(088) project.  Motion carried:  Schieber, aye; Wilson, aye; Leven, aye.  (Resolution #3,4-172 & project file)

 

Motion was made by Leven and seconded by Wilson approving the following cash fund appropriations:

            CSSP Cash Fund - $140.50

            Public Buildings Authority Cash Fund - $1408.84

            Service Fee Cash Fund - $12,313.27

            Commissary Cash Fund - $390.88

            Sheriff’s Jail Cash Fund - $32,192.13

Policy on Taxable Fringe Benefits – No action.
