Newkirk, Oklahoma

 

The Board of County Commissioners of Kay County, Oklahoma, met in regular session at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2004, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Notice of the meeting was posted for public information on January 9, 2004 at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

 

Chairman Schieber called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows:  Dee Schieber, Chairman; Laile Wilson, Vice-Chairman; Wayne Leven, Member; Jacquelynn Schroeder, Ponca City News; Pam Goodno, County Clerk and Secretary; and Carrie Glaser, Deputy County Clerk.

 

Motion was made by Wilson and seconded by Leven approving minutes from the January 5, 2004 meeting.  Motion carried:  Schieber, aye; Wilson, aye; Leven, aye.

 

Motion was made by Schieber and seconded by Leven approving resolution depositing funds into the Highway Cash Fund as follows:

            State of Oklahoma, ODOW - $5570.84 (wt#100108913)

            Partial reimbursement for ODOW boat ramp project-District #1

Motion carried:  Schieber, aye; Wilson, aye; Leven, aye.  (Resolution #3,4-89)

 

Motion was made by Leven and seconded by Wilson approving resolution depositing funds into the Highway Cash Fund as follows:

            Ponca Iron & Metal, Inc. - $144.60 (ck#622638)

            Sale of scrap metal-District #2

Motion was made by Leven and seconded by Wilson approving the following cash fund appropriations:

            Highway Cash Fund – contingent upon receipt of funds

Contract between Kay County and the Department of Corrections for housing of Alpha II sanctioned inmates – Tabled.
