The Kay County Excise Board met in special session at 10:00 o’clock a.m. on December 23, 2009, in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Notice of the meeting was posted on December 18, 2009, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Chairman Harden called the meeting to order. Those present were as follows: J. C. Estes, Vice-Chairman, Joe R. Cary, Member; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary.

Motion was made by Joe Cary and seconded by J. C. Estes approving designated dates as Holidays for the Calendar Year 2010. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

Motion was made by Estes and seconded by Cary granting the requests on the following Cash Fund Estimate of Needs and Appropriations: Highway D#1-$14,577.50; Highway D#1-$21,000.00; Highway D#1-$426,286.53; Highway D#1-$10,774.50; Highway D#1-$261,648.27; Highway D#2-$14,556.03. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

There being no other business, motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes to adjourn (10:20 a.m.). Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.
