Newkirk, Oklahoma

The Kay County Excise Board met in regular session at 10:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2008 in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Notice of the meeting was posted on March 5, 2008, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Chairman Estes called the meeting to order. Those present were as follows: Chairman J. C. Estes; Vice-Chairman Joe R. Cary; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary. Member Floyd Harden was absent.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes approving regular meeting minutes of February 7, 2008, and special meeting minutes of February 13, 2008. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes acknowledging the following Reimbursements to General Fund Account: District Court-$900.00, Exhibit A; Unappropriated Court-$3,290.92, Exhibit B; Unappropriated Court-$26,615.30, Exhibit C; Resale-$3,886.54, Exhibit D; Workers’ Comp-$13,256.00, Exhibit E; Workers’ Comp-$13,256.00, Exhibit F. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes approving the following Cash Fund Estimate of Needs and Request for Appropriation: Sheriff’s Service Fee-$37,912.78, Exhibit G; Sheriff’s Jail-$33,858.15, Exhibit H; Sheriff’s Training-$750.00, Exhibit I; Sheriff’s Service Fee-$430.00, Exhibit J; Highway-$298,731.19, Exhibit K; Highway-$5,252.53, Exhibit L; Highway-$54,823.15, Exhibit M; Emergency Management Agency-$4,838.10, Exhibit N; Drug Court-$3,187.50, Exhibit O; Drug Court-$3,187.50, Exhibit P; County Improvement-$8.20, Exhibit Q; Treasurer’s Mortgage Certification-$640.00 (on Agenda by mistake will be approved in April); Treasurer’s Mortgage Certification-$610.00, Exhibit R; Visual Inspection Reimbursement-$1,394.83, Exhibit S; County Clerk Lien Fee-$2,255.00, Exhibit T; Preservation Fee-$4,100.00, Exhibit U; Public Buildings Authority-Health-$2,388.37, Exhibit V; Public Buildings Authority-$1,408.84, Exhibit W; LEPC Grant-$1,000.00, Exhibit X. Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes acknowledging the following Transfer of Appropriations: Sheriff Training-Donations-$2,000.00 to Equipment, Exhibit Y; Sheriff Jail-Contract Services-$1,200.00 to Maintenance, Exhibit Z. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye.

There being no other business, motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes to adjourn (10:59 a.m.). Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye.
