The Kay County Excise Board met in special session at 1:00 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Notice of the meeting was posted on February 11, 2008, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Chairman Estes called the meeting to order. Those present were as follows: Chairman J. C. Estes; Vice-Chairman Joe R. Cary; Member Floyd Harden; Patsy Leyva, Deputy Kay County Clerk/Secretary.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Harden approving the following Cash Fund Estimate of Needs and Request for Appropriation: Sheriff’s Training-$2,000.00, Exhibit A; Sheriff’s Jail-$16,552.78, Exhibit B; Sheriff’s Service Fee-$12,628.46, Exhibit C; Sheriff’s Commissary-$1,175.41, Exhibit D. Motion carried: Estes, aye; Cary, aye; Harden, aye.

Motion was made by Harden and seconded by Cary acknowledging the following Transfer of Appropriations: General Government-Maintenance-$6,296.88 to Election Board Maintenance, Exhibit E; Highway District#1-Maintenance-$500.00 to Travel, Exhibit F. Motion carried: Estes, aye; Cary, aye; Harden, aye.

There being no other business, motion was made by Cary and seconded by Harden to adjourn (1:10 p.m.). Motion carried: Estes, aye; Cary, aye; Harden, aye.
