The Kay County Excise Board met in regular session at 10:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2008 in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Notice of the meeting was posted on January 9, 2008, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Chairman Estes called the meeting to order. Those present were as follows: Chairman J. C. Estes; Vice-Chairman Joe R. Cary; Member Floyd Harden; Judy Barnes, Kay County Assessor; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Harden approving regular meeting minutes of December 6, 2007. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

Motion was made by Harden and seconded by Cary approving the following Cash Fund Estimate of Needs and Request for Appropriations for the City of Newkirk: Library - $839.00, Exhibit A; Rural Fire - $12,907.00, Exhibit B. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Harden acknowledging the following Reimbursements to General Fund Account: District Court-$900.00, Exhibit C; Unappropriated Court-$2,726.76, Exhibit D; Unappropriated Court-$26,455.74, Exhibit E; Workers’ Comp-$13,256.00, Exhibit F; Workers’ Comp-$13,256.00, Exhibit G; Election Boards-$278.98, Exhibit H; Resale-$3,885.68, Exhibit I; Tort & Property Insurance-$20,416.50, Exhibit J; Tort & Property Insruance-$2,973.78, Exhibit K; Tort & Property Insurance-$36,299.48, Exhibit L.
