The Kay County Excise Board met in regular session at 10:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2007 in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Notice of the meeting was posted on October 3, 2007, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Chairman Estes called the meeting to order. Those present were as follows: Chairman J. C. Estes; Vice-Chairman Joe R. Cary; Member Floyd Harden; Carol Purdy, Kay County Assessor First Deputy; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary.

The Kay County Estimated General Fund Budget, FY 2007-2008 was reviewed and discussed.

Carol Purdy, First Deputy to Assessor Judy Barnes, told board members to consider the possible outcome of the litigations with Continental Carbon and the affect it could have on our budget when finalizing the budget.

No action was taken on the Estimated General Budget for 2007-2008.
