The Kay County Excise Board met in regular session at 10:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2007 in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Notice of the meeting was posted on August 8, 2007, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma. 

 

Chairman Estes called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows:  Chairman J. C. Estes; Vice-Chairman Joe R. Cary; Member Floyd Harden; Sharon Rowen, Ponca City News; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary. 

 

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Harden approving regular meeting minutes of July 5, 2007.  Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

 

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Harden approving Application for Temporary Appropriations for the City of Newkirk, requested appropriation-$1,454,993.03, Exhibit A.  Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

 

Before moving to the next Item on the Agenda Mr. Harden asked to revisit Item 4 inquiring source the money was received for the City of Newkirk.

New Business [As per 1991 O.S. 25§311.A.9-‘New Business’, as used herein, shall mean any matter not known about or which could not have been reasonably foreseen prior to the time of posting.]  Mr. Estes mentioned the county has not received the Abstract of all Valuations of Taxable Property in each School District, Township and City in Kay County from the County Assessor for the fiscal year 2007-2008.  Estes noted it had been submitted to the State.
