The Kay County Excise Board met in regular session at 10:00 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2007 in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Notice of the meeting was posted on May 2, 2007, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Chairman Harden called the meeting to order. Those present were as follows: Chairman Harden; Vice-Chairman J. C. Estes; Member Joe R. Cary; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary.

Motion was made by Estes and seconded by Harden approving regular meeting minutes of April 5, 2007, and special meeting minutes of April 16, 2007. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

Motion was made by Estes and seconded by Cary to grant request on Officer’s Request for Supplemental Appropriations, reimbursement from State for computer expense in the amount of $633.97, Exhibit A. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes approving Supplemental Estimate for City of Newkirk, Exhibit B. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

Motion was made by Estes and seconded by Cary to grant request on Application for Temporary Appropriations for Peckham District No. C-27, General Fund-$811,673.37/Building Fund-$13,592.00/Child Nutrition Fund-$43,372.9, Exhibit C. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes approving the following Cash Funds - City of Newkirk Municipality: Senior Citizen Van Fund-$977.50, Exhibit D; Utility Upgrade Construction-$3,187.63, Exhibit E; Utility Upgrade Construction-$2,934.41, Exhibit F; Park & Recreation-$2,186.38, Exhibit G. New Business: Larry Klumpp, OSU Extension, was present and informed the Board of an upcoming workshop to be held in Enid (Garfield County) on June 13, 2007. Klumpp said presenters will be Greg Hodges of the State Auditor’s office and Notie Lansford Oklahoma State University Department of Agriculture Economics. Klumpp invited Board to the Kay County 4-H Achievement Banquet to be held May 31, 2007.
