The Kay County Excise Board met in special session at 1:30 o’clock p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2006 in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Notice of the meeting was posted on November 2, 2006 at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Chairman Harden called the meeting to order. Those present were as follows: J. C. Estes, Vice-Chairman; Member Joe R. Cary; Tammy Reese, Secretary/Kay County Clerk.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes approving corrected 2006 Tax Levy Certification. The corrected portion of the levy was in the City/Town Sinking Fund of I-71 Ponca City. The corrected figure is 3.70 (not 3.71). The levies are reviewed by each City/Town and School Districts Budget Maker, Lewis W. Pruitt Tax Consultant, and finally by the State Auditor’s Office. The error was found by the State Auditor’s Office. Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes to adjourn (1:40 p.m.). Motion carried: Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.
