Kay County Courthouse

The Kay County Equalization Board met in special session on Thursday, April 8, 2010,

10:45 o’clock a.m. in the Commissioners Court of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.   Notice of the meeting was posted on March 31, 2010, at the Courthouse front door, Commissioners Court, and basement handicapped entrance of the Kay County Courthouse in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

 

Chairman Harden called the meeting to order.  Those present were as follows:  J.C. Estes, Vice-Chairman; Joe R. Cary, Member; Carol Purdy, Kay County Assessor; Nixie Goff, Blackwell Journal Tribune; Tammy Reese, Secretary/Kay County Clerk.

 

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes approving special meeting minutes of May 29, 2009, and regular meeting minutes of April 1, 2010.   Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

 

Motion was made by Estes and seconded by Cary approving the following 2010 Five Year Manufacturing Exemption Applications as presented by Carol Purdy, Kay County Assessor:  ConocoPhillips (5) (11360.49);  ConocoPhillips (4) (11360.51); Quarter Turn Resources (3) (060713.10); Quarter Turn Resources (4)(060713.05); Quarter Turn Resources (2) (060713.15) Quarter Turn Resources (1) (060713.20); Smith Tool (5) (049454.20); Smith Tool (1) (049454.60); Smith Tool (2) (049454.50); Smith Tool (4) (049454.30); Smith Tool (3) (049454.40).  Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.

 

There were no homestead exemptions for 2010 presented.

 

Motion was made by Cary and seconded by Estes to adjourn at 11:08 a.m.  Motion carried:  Cary, aye; Estes, aye; Harden, aye.
