The
Kay County Equalization Board met in regular session commencing on the first
working day in April 2007 (
Chairman
Harden called the meeting to order.
Those present were as follows: Floyd Harden, Chairman; J. C. Estes, Vice-Chairman;
Carol Purdy, First Deputy Assessor’s Office; Tammy Reese, Secretary/Kay County
Clerk. Member Joe Cary was absent.
Motion
was made by Estes and seconded by Harden denying Mr. Edward Newport’s
application of property valuation limitation because law states you must be 65
or older by January 1st of current year.
Motion carried: Estes, aye;
Harden, aye.
Motion
was made by Estes and seconded by Harden denying Gregory W. and Joanna E.
Summer’s application of Permanent Homestead Tax Exemption for 2007. It was filed in a timely manner by not
signed. Motion carried: Estes, aye; Harden, aye.
Motion
was made by Estes and seconded by Harden denying Theresa Bays Permanent
Homestead Tax Exemption for 2007. The
proof of ownership was not filed in a timely manner. Motion carried: Estes, aye; Harden, aye.
There
being no other business, motion was made by Estes and seconded by Harden to adjourn. Motion
carried: Estes, aye; Harden, aye.
