The Kay
County E911 Authority, met in special session at
Chairman
Bowers called the meeting to order.
Those present were as follows:
Chairman Sherry Bowers, City of Ponca City; Wayne Leven, Vice-Chairman;
Dee Schieber and Laile Wilson, Kay County Commissioners; Harold Harris, City of
Newkirk; Barbara White, Blackwell Police Department; Tom Trueblood, City of Kaw
City; Jerry Johnston, City of Braman; Tammy Reese, Kay County Clerk/Secretary
(see sign-in sheet).
Minutes
from Special Session meetings on August 9 and
Motion
was made by Jerry Johnston and seconded by Tom Trueblood approving and
accepting the appointment of Scott Dark, Tonkawa Fire Chief. Motion carried.
Motion
was made by Jerry Johnston and seconded by Tom Trueblood to continue with the
same officers for the year 2007. Motion
carried.
Motion
was made by Jerry Johnston and seconded by Tom Trueblood to amend the original
motion accepting officers for 2007 to include accepting the appointment of
Jimmy Roberts, Blackwell citizen. Mr.
Roberts will replace Brad Bechtel who now serves as City Commissioner for
Blackwell. Motion carried.
Motion
was made by Dee Schieber and seconded by Barbara White approving meeting dates
for 2007. Motion carried.

Leven suggested adding “Community updates” to future agendas.
